Pride 2022 (or The Battle Continues...)

So the world - and especially the United States - is a bit of a scary place right now. Rights are being taken away. Even more are in peril. The country is undoubtedly more divided than it has been in about 150 years, and the great strides we've made in the last decade are in true danger of collapse. Let's not mince words - the right is now a completely radical Christian fascist party, waging war on anyone who doesn't look, think, or act like them in the same way wage war on truth, science, and justice. I've said it before - the fight is not over. We are not defeated. We can - and should! - be angry at recent events, but we need to channel that energy into true, lasting change. There are more of us, and we are stronger, will be louder, and will fight harder because love, acceptance, and equality are on our side

At just under two hours (and a whopping 37 tracks!), this is my longest Pride mix to date. House, pop, electro, progressive, and even a touch of trance set the party mood, with major tracks from heavy hitters like Alesso, Dubvision, Afrojack, Martin Garrix, R3hab, Morgan Page, Tiesto, Illenium, Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Deadmau5, Gryffin, and many more. There are quite a few really fun Nu-disco tracks here too, and length of this one allowed me to go a little harder at the end than I have since ~2015. 

Pride is always one of my favorite weekends of the year, and while it may be a little darkened by some truly awful recent Supreme Court decisions and a completely unhinged political right,  this is still our time to come together, to celebrate, and to appreciate our community. We have come a long way together. Love will win.
